SW:Kotor beaten

W00t, I've completed Knights of the Old Republic as the Light side. I have to say, I really enjoyed this game, especially the story. I definitely know how to tweak my character now for my second run through it as the Dark side.

I thing I didn't like though is how useless a lot of the characters are. Blaster become absolutely useless once the game leaves Taris so you will ignore all the non-Jedi characters (with the exception of Zaalbar--that thing is a TANK). This also makes all the armour useless as Jedi robes are so much better for Jedi's. Even so, all the upper class armour gives pitiful dexterity bonuses that it doesn't make sense to use them even if you non-Jedi.

I also had gathered up such a HUGE bunded of items that it got pretty ridiculous--99+ first aid kits for example. Nevertheless, I never would've beaten the game if it wasn't for all the stims I've collected throughout the game. It was only during this last battle that I figured out I can pause the action, go into the item menu, and use an item INSTANTLY!!! OMG I would've NEVER beaten Malak without know this. Hahaha, the whole battle went something like Force Wave/Critical Strike, use a stim/Force Shield/Force Immunity, Force Wave/Critical Strike, use a stim/Force Shield/Force Immunity... ops my character got stunned, use a a med kit :). All the other boss battles were similar, except my Wishdom was high enough with the Star Forge Robes that I can put Bastila on Stasis and whack away at her. Damn Malak's DC is just too high for Stasis.

With the exception that there is too much (slow) walking in certain parts of the game (ahem... Manann Underwater Station and Tatoonie desert), Kotor is great game.
